Web-based Search Capabilities Deliver High ROI. Where 2 Get It, Inc., provider of location-based services that drive consumers into local businesses and find where to buy products online, has announced that Razor® is the latest consumer goods manufacturer to select Where 2 Get It’s product locator technology. The product locator offers consumers unique buying options with buy online and buy local channels.
With Where 2 Get It’s product locator technology a consumer is now able to find out which retailers in their neighborhood carry which products (for example, specific color/model combinations like a pink Razor A Scooter).
“We offer so many models and color combinations and not all of our local retailers stock all of them all the time, so it’s important for consumers to easily be able to find what local retailers carry,” said Katherine Mahoney, vice president of marketing, Razor.
Consumers buying online can also easily find Razor product pricing and availability from a list of online retailers. Consumers are taken from Razor’s product page directly to the online retailers’ product pages offering a seamless and user-friendly buying experience.
Razor has noted a definite impact on lowering customer support call volume as customers now take advantage of the online search to find products, saving Razor an estimated 50 to 60 percent of the time previously spent by staff answering search-related questions by phone.
“We are extremely proud of the value we bring to manufacturers like Razor that are focused on providing multiple sales channels to their customers. We’re pleased that they’ve adopted our dealer locator search technology as part of their successful service and support mix,” said Manish Patel, Where 2 Get It founder and CEO.
In addition to providing advanced search functionality, the Where 2 Get It product locator solution includes reporting services to track how much traffic and revenue is being sent to the retailers. “With Where 2 Get It’s tracking we can now let our retailers know how much traffic and revenue we are sending to them so we can evaluate their conversion rate,” said Mahoney.
The company previously deployed a virtually unmanageable HTML listing of products and retailers that was not technologically advanced and very difficult to update. Razor’s product marketing team looked for an automated solution in the form of a hosted application and selected Where 2 Get It over a number of other vendors. In addition to providing the product locator technology, Where 2 Get It assisted with technical support for the development of custom coding for seamless integration with Razor’s existing back-end systems.
“Where 2 Get It was able to provide the most robust solution backed by their technical expertise, which is second to none,” said Mahoney.
