ABOUT ME
In my book, passion, hard work, timing, and continuous improvement add up to luck. And by that definition, I’m the luckiest guy in the world, surrounded by wonderful people doing amazing things for our clients. Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted to run my own business. For the past 10 years, I’ve lived that dream by helping the world change the way we shop.
ABOUT MY WORK
Back in 1995, I made a fateful choice to change careers and learn what this Internet thing was all about. And since that day, I have not stopped learning. Today, as the self-proclaimed benevolent dictator of Where 2 Get It, I live and drink Where 2 Get It’s kool-aid 24×7.
It’s now been 10 wonderful years since I started Where 2 Get It. Life has thrown me many curves, but none more fun than guiding Where 2 Get It from one challenge to the next. It’s a thrill competing in the land of giants and well-funded start-ups. Nothing makes me prouder than the fact that we blazed our own path and today we answer to no one except our customers. Each day we are one step closer to our dream of being a world-class company that leaves a lasting impact on the world. |
ABOUT ME
I live for challenge and excitement in all aspects of my life. I love the fast pace of the internet workplace as well as the fast pace of my personal life. When I’m not driving my Corvette, you may find me riding motorcycles, jet skis and even road and mountain bikes.
ABOUT MY WORK
Starting out, I worked full time and went to school full time to earn my BBA in Computer MIS and MBA in Marketing. It wasn’t easy, but I enjoyed being out on my own.
Down the road, I served as Director of Product Management for both Wonderware (industrial automation software) and Viacore (B2B supply chain automation), which is now owned by IBM. After that, I moved into the B2C internet search world when I joined Local.com as VP of Product Management.
Today, I’m extremely excited to be with Where 2 Get It, Inc. as VP of Marketing & Business Development. I’m working hard to get the word out to our clients – we have great solutions for manufactures and retailers as well as design agencies. I’m also excited to connect with potential new business partners to help increase product values and boost sales. I guess you’d call me the Where 2 Get It evangelist! |
ABOUT ME
My personal interests revolve around family, friends, and living life to its fullest. I’m an eternal optimist who looks at the sunny side of everything. My passions are hockey – both playing and watching – as well as golf, biking, running, going to the beach and BBQ’ing. In my career, I enjoy teaching and developing salespeople, and building championship sales teams.
ABOUT MY WORK
Originally from Beantown (a.k.a. Boston – go Red Sox and Patriots!), I graduated from a small, private catholic college. After traveling around the country I settled in California and became a stockbroker.
When the market crashed in 2000 I changed careers and landed at eLiberation.com, a pay-per-click start-up. The company morphed into Local.com, the now leader in local search, where I became Director of Sales. We went from $500,000 per year in sales in 2000 to $10,000,000 per year in 2006. On the heels of that success, Local.com went public and became a darling of Wall Street in 2005. Following that exciting run I served as Vice President of Sales for a direct mail start-up.
My experience in the financial markets taught me how to recognize value and solid growth. As a result, joining Where 2 Get It was an easy choice. Here was the opportunity to build, grow and manage an established company, brimming with vision and intelligence. We’re in the right space at the right time, providing innovative products and solutions for the emerging search market. My plan here is to build and assemble a winning sales team that will triple revenues going into 2010. |
About Me
My family is the focal point of my life. We spend lots of time at soccer games, birthday parties, school activities, and taking care of parents. One of our favorite activities is to watch reality TV shows like Dancing with the Stars, Amazing Race and Survivor.
About My Work
I was fortunate to be able to follow a dream in my first career, coaching basketball. After many countless hours on the hard court, I finally listened to my mother and started working with computers. After progressing through various technology positions, I served as CIO of Oakton Community College in the Chicago suburbs, where I led development of a $6M web-based information management application. I then became VP of Information Technology at Group Arnold, a $140M global manufacturer of magnetic products. At Group Arnold, I lead the implementation of a new nationwide web-based Oracle HR/Payroll system, as well as a new web-based data warehouse. Next, I moved to Career Education Corporation, a $2B multinational provider of higher education. As Director of Operational Technology at CEC, I articulated the company’s technology strategy and integrated technology into all areas of business operations.
Today, I lead the Technical Engineering team at Where 2 Get It, Inc. I’ve been involved with the web from its infancy in the early 90’s, so working at Where 2 Get It is a natural and exciting extension to what I’ve been doing most of my career. |
