ABOUT ME
In my book, passion, hard work, timing, and continuous improvement add up to luck. And by that definition, I’m the luckiest guy in the world, surrounded by wonderful people doing amazing things for our clients. Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted to run my own business. For the past 10 years, I’ve lived that dream by helping the world change the way we shop.
ABOUT MY WORK
Back in 1995, I made a fateful choice to change careers and learn what this Internet thing was all about. And since that day, I have not stopped learning. Today, as the self-proclaimed benevolent dictator of Where 2 Get It, I live and drink Where 2 Get It’s kool-aid 24×7.
It’s now been 10 wonderful years since I started Where 2 Get It. Life has thrown me many curves, but none more fun than guiding Where 2 Get It from one challenge to the next. It’s a thrill competing in the land of giants and well-funded start-ups. Nothing makes me prouder than the fact that we blazed our own path and today we answer to no one except our customers. Each day we are one step closer to our dream of being a world-class company that leaves a lasting impact on the world. |
ABOUT ME
I’m driven to succeed in fast-paced, rapid growth environments, where new products are being launched, new markets are developed, and people are trying new things - that’s why I enjoy being a part of Where 2 Get It. On top of that, I get to work with a great group of people and still pursue the things important to me: church, family, outdoor sports and the small town life that comes with working out of our Montana office. I feel truly blessed.
ABOUT MY WORK
At Where 2 Get It, I have the privilege to build and manage our key partner relationships and lead the team that’s working hard to grow our manufacturing base of clients and get new products established in the marketplace.
For the past 13 years I have worked for established high-tech start-up companies in the software, network services, and network hardware markets. Before coming to Where 2 Get It, I spent over four years in the role of President and CEO at Xionetic Technologies, a private software firm with a concentration in the GPS and LBS markets. At mobile software and network hardware manufacturer Extended Systems, now part of Sybase, I held positions in both commercial and public sector sales and was with the company when they went public. At leading CRM and SaaS company RightNow Technologies, I served in sales and management roles, and at regional network services provider TransAria, I built up their public sector business, growing business in the Federal, State, and Local markets, to include getting the company awarded their own GSA contract.
Aside from the professional training I’ve received over the years, I earned a BS is in Chemistry from Montana State University, and I’ve completed coursework towards my MBA at the University of Montana. |
About Me
My family is the focal point of my life. We spend lots of time at soccer games, birthday parties, school activities, and taking care of parents. One of our favorite activities is to watch reality TV shows like Dancing with the Stars, Amazing Race and Survivor.
About My Work
I was fortunate to be able to follow a dream in my first career, coaching basketball. After many countless hours on the hard court, I finally listened to my mother and started working with computers. After progressing through various technology positions, I served as CIO of Oakton Community College in the Chicago suburbs, where I led development of a $6M web-based information management application. I then became VP of Information Technology at Group Arnold, a $140M global manufacturer of magnetic products. At Group Arnold, I lead the implementation of a new nationwide web-based Oracle HR/Payroll system, as well as a new web-based data warehouse. Next, I moved to Career Education Corporation, a $2B multinational provider of higher education. As Director of Operational Technology at CEC, I articulated the company’s technology strategy and integrated technology into all areas of business operations.
Today, I lead the Technical Engineering team at Where 2 Get It, Inc. I’ve been involved with the web from its infancy in the early 90’s, so working at Where 2 Get It is a natural and exciting extension to what I’ve been doing most of my career. |
